velvette blue is a New York–based musician and producer known for hazy melodies, laid-back vocals, and synth-driven production, pioneering a dreamy hybrid of electronic, rap, and modern pop.
Born and raised in Phoenix, he was influenced by electronic music at an early age, and started producing in his pre-teenage years. Before fully stepping into music, he began in visual arts, working in photography, videography, fine art and painting.
He has produced for the likes of Baby Morocco, The Twins, and Garett Caramel, and is similarly known for numerous remixes of modern pop hits played in underground parties worldwide.
Since uploading his first demos to SoundCloud in early 2022, velvette has grown a cult following, carving out a distinct identity shaped by experimentation and feeling rather than genre.
In addition to his solo work, velvette blue is one half of the electronic duo dgnr8, formed in 2022 with Rubi Alejandro, and is also the co-founder of onehundredpercentmusic, an independent record label created with Garett Caramel as a home for both their own projects and those of their closest friends and collaborators.
